Burning with two extremes!

Burning with two extremes!
I happen to notice recently many discussions are based on one main topic in many groups and notes...  So I felt it's better to write something to think about through this topic... The topic is mainly about "Being vegetarian and Being Non vegetarian" I thought of writing something important with the help of this topic...

In Samma Sambuddha's very first dhamma sermon we find one highly important fact to think about... The sermon says about the 2 extremes which people should not to be indulged in... The 2 extremes are "There IS" & "There is NOT"...
One who is with these extremes gain nothing because they are vulgar, common, ignoble, unprofitable & meaningless.
Let's try to understand how it is happening...
Let's get the topic I mentioned above...
A person think being vegetarian is good & he / she attract to that extreme and use mind, body & words to think, do, speak accordingly...
Another person think being non - vegetarian is good & he / she attract to that extreme and use mind, body & words to think, do, speak accordingly...
Do you think that these 2 kind of people have peace on their mind?
The one who think that being veg is good wants to see the whole world or most of the worldly beings should become vegetarian or act accordingly......
The one who think that being non - veg is good wants to see the whole world or most of the worldly beings should become non - veg or act accordingly... And both type of people use their mind, body & words according to their desired extreme... in another word they do "Sankara".  in another word they do merits, sins & things which are not merits nor sins according to the extreme they desire...
they think using their mind, they do actions using their body & they speak using their words... Effects get according to the cause... let's investigate how it happen...

A person think being vegetarian is good, meaningful & fruitful... When one believe or think something is good, meaningful & fruitful that person is starting liking it...
likewise the person who think being vegetarian is good, meaningful & fruitful is starting liking being vegetarian. His / her mind, body, words behave according to the extreme that person attach to...
the more thoughts, actions & words creating accordingly the more he / she starts think about the extreme and dreaming accordingly and attract more & more to the extreme he / she desire... in simple words that person begins to use his / her eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body & mind to become a vegetarian person and promote vegetarianism...
the more he / she think, act, speak accordingly the more that person get attract to the extreme...  he / she attach to the extreme so tightly... in another words a person who begin to become a vegetarian person by giving up eating dry - fish giving up whole kind of meats, cheese, milk etc... and finally he / she may also become a person like "Nigantanathaputta" who was highly attache to the extreme of being non - violence & vegetarianism.
Like wise we can finally see the out come as a birth of vegetarian person or non - vegetarian person...
Birth arise as a result of some cause which created accordingly...  In this example, the view of "being vegetarian is good, meaningful & fruitful CAUSE to the birth of a vegetarian person"...  birth is a sufficient cause for suffering...
What ever arise has to change & get destroyed at the end...
Same theory is applicable to the non - vegetarians...
Who ever clinging to the any of the extreme attach accordingly and like to see things happen as the way they desire... and they have to conflict when things are not happening according to their wish & hatred also arise...
when the process continue with the thinking, actions, speaking according to the extreme that person attach to it is become the cause to give another birth with the set of eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body & mind accordingly...
in another word people are getting another body which able to fulfill their desires again & again according to the process they desired to do...
If I explain through an example;
A person use his / her mind, body & words to think, act & speak to promote vegetarianism in a good way... he / she do no harm to any being with regards to the topic they act accordingly... that good behaviors may become a cause to them to get the effect as a God or Human again...
Also if a person act like an animal to save animal by promoting vegetarianism can become a cause to him / her to get the effect of animal in his / her next birth... We know that there are many animals who are Herbivores and also there are some lower realms beings exist who are vegetarian...
Same theory applicable to the non - veg beings...
Sometimes some people really do behave so horribly with the extreme they are attach to... they become so violence and harmful for other beings... Some people who fight for a vegetarian world behave well with animals but do many harmful things to the human beings... so there is always better to remember the effects comes accordingly...
This "cause & effect theory" is the main reason to say "Not to indulge with 2 extremes which are vulgar, common, ignoble, unprofitable & meaningless"
And great Samma Sambuddha said the one who like to gain peace should practice the "Middle way" by avoiding both of these extremes...
what is the middle way of above topic?
The both ends are part of the world... and what ever the ends which is a part of the world & existence is burning like fire to us... normally people says the middle way is the middle way of attaching to the both ends... not attaching so highly to one end but yet there is attaching to somewhere in the ends...
No matter how much we clinging to this existence the destruction & suffering comes to us as long as there is attachments...
Imaging a person who have no interest in being vegetarian or being non - vegetarian...
The one who sees the pure dhamma understand that this world is not a place to be with... nothing happen according to the way one desire & only betterment is get rid of the world by giving up desires, hatred & ignorance...
So that person begin to think, act & speak accordingly...
He / she understand the evil effects comes after the attachments ...
One who sees the dhamma may become a vegetarian with many reasons but he / she not attach to the extreme of the being vegetarian...
One who sees the dhamma may become a non - vegetarian with many reason but he / she not attach to the extreme of the being non - vegetarian...
The one who understood the theory of cause & effect never try to attach to the 2 extreme & what ever they think, do & speak is helpful to get rid of the 2 extremes...
That is why it is so important to understand the theory of Cause & Effect...
The more one attach to the extreme of being vegetarian that one has to go through the stress, hatred & other conflicts when situations arise which are not matches to promote vegetarianism...
The less one attach to the extreme of vegetarianism gain lesser conflicts & stress...  The more you get rid of these 2 extremes you gain peace in your mind...
So it is easy for you to now find out the extreme you are attache to... when its comes to this topic of "Being veg or Non - veg" Find out the reason for your stress, the reason for your hatred, the reason for your hatred
what is more guiding you to the fights...
If you feel bad & feel angry when one says being veg is the perfect way to live that means you are attach to the extreme of being non - veg...
If you feel bad & feel angry when one is promoting being non - veg that means you are attach to the extreme of being veg...
when you able to find out the extreme you are in it is easy for you to get rid of it by applying the cause & effect theory with understanding...
Do you like to think vulgar, common, ignoble, unprofitable & meaningless thoughts?
Do you like to do vulgar, common, ignoble, unprofitable & meaningless activities?
Do you like to speak vulgar, common, ignoble, unprofitable & meaningless words?
Do you like to become a ignorant being who think, do, speak vulgar, common, ignoble, unprofitable & meaningless things?
If you don't like you have to get rid of the 2 extremes and should enter to the middle way... through the dhamma you will gain the proper understanding to enter to the middle way...
that is the eight fold path and that is the path which gives you final result as a peaceful mind with true happiness...

Also I would like to enter a piece of special note to this note...
As long as the understanding of dhamma arise within us we are with these 2 extremes by thinking, doing, speaking about these 2 meaningless extremes & it's activities...
As long as we are with that process we happen to think, do & speak good as well as the bad... it's a mixture of goodness & evilness...
that is the main reason we all are going through temporary happiness / comfort as well as the suffering...
Whether one being veg or non - veg or what ever the extreme they are attach to become a cause for them to bring the effect accordingly...
Without knowing the theory of Cause & Effect perfectly, no one can say what he / she doing is 100% right and what he / she doing is 100% wrong by considering the extreme they are attach to ...
Only a great Samma Sambuddha knows all the reasons for everything... bless one think, act & speak accordingly and no one is comparable to the blessed one's wisdom...
Through such a unique wisdom the blessed one able to guide one with the most suitable way...
The one who doesn't even knows the basic theory of cause & effects fights for the justice... fights for a peaceful better world... and that same causes may gives bit of betterment but it becomes his / her own path to destruction by knowingly or unknowingly...
The nature is according to the cause & effect...
And we can understand the real nature through the dhamma...
So rather than finding an extreme to attach with it is always better to understand the path of liberation which is the middle way described in dhamma which brings one the ultimate pure happiness & peace!
